SAFER Foundation joined Rappler's Social Good Summit 2019, held in De la Salle University last September 21, 2019.
The Social Good Summit opens up the conversation around the United Nations General Assembly and shines spotlight on critical social issues and the role digital media plays with respect to these concerns.
To jump start the program, nonprofit organizations to talk about their advocacy during the #InspireCourage segment. SAFER's Communications Specialist, Sheena Pena shared a humorous personal story which transitioned to a more serious tone. "Filipinos are the best people to help fellow Filipinos. Supporting local NGOs mean that you are giving them the power to be managers and designers of their own emergency responses."

Glenda Gloria of Rappler invited everyone to be proactive. "This is a morning about moving forward. This is about taking action.
Ola Almgren of the United Nations explained that "shared values and objectives are the most effective way to overcome challenges. I invite you to keep discovering the social good. We are excited to see your online presence ripen to offline action."
